About Us:

We are the Two Tarts Cookery School, an cookery school founded in May 2013 to share our passion for cooking with the North Devon public! We feel that North Devon as a culinary region has so much to offer, with its rural roots and close access to the sea, there really is an amazing array of beautiful cooking ingredients around the region, and we would love to help you put these ingredients to their best use; by making delicious food! For more information on all that North Devon has to offer, visit our North Devon Cuisine page.

The Two Tarts Cookery School was set up by two enthusiastic, experienced cooks, Jo Dunbavin and Rose Budge, with a common purpose: to get more people cooking! The Two Tarts have both cooked from a very young age, progressing through professional cookery environments, and then on into other careers. They would like to bring their passion for cooking and their wealth of knowledge in the kitchen to the public, to encourage others to give cooking a go!

Both Rose and Jo have brought up four children alongside careers, and therefore know from first hand what it's like to balance jobs, family life and producing good food every night! They can't wait to share some of their cooking experience with others in North Devon, to help them to put nutritious, tasty and locally-sourced food on their tables.Whatever your level, whether you cook every day, or have never picked up a kitchen utensil in your life, we can help. In every class we put emphasis on a very simple message: you can do it! We would love you to surprise yourself, by coming along and producing some incredible-tasting food, and then to surprise your family by going home and doing it for them! What do you say? Worth a go? Check out our Calendar section to find out when you could next spice up your cooking!
